What To Do

  1. Take in the medieval splendour of Gozo’s imposing Citadel in Victoria.
  2. Admire the wooden, multi-coloured “lazzi” fishing boats bobbing in the harbour of   Marsalforn.
  3. Buy a jar of uncrushed crystal salts – they come directly from the salt pans in Xwejni.
  4. Be awed at the sight of the Ggantija Neolithic temples dating back to 3600BC.
  5. Sample a traditional Gozitan pizza, known as “ftiras”, cooked in a wood-fired oven.
  6. Take a dip in the endless spectacular beaches that Gozo is surrounded with.
  7. Snorkel among the rays and deep water fish at Wied il-Ghasri.
  8. While away the afternoon with wine and local seafood at the bars and restaurants lining the handsome squares of the villages around Gozo.
  9. Get lost in the maze of alleyways and Baroque townhouses in the old town of Rabat, the island’s capital.
  10. Take a glimpse into Gozo’s past in Rabat’s old prison, built by the Knights of Malta and with graffiti made by inmates still visible on the cell walls.
  11. Be part of the unique atmosphere that is brought to life in summer when each village celebrates its saint. Be amazed by the fireworks that light the night in each village!
